WHERE PHARMACEUTICALS CAME FROM?

Back in the day in the United States the Medicine of choice was Homeopathy, Herbs, Chiropractic, and Food based medicine. In fact, in the early 1900’s pharmaceutical medicine was looked down upon and distrusted because of its toxic and dangerous ingredients.

Then along came John Rockefeller and Carnegie. Both were heavily invested in Petroleum, and they needed a place to invest their countless millions of dollars (Billions by today’s standards). Unfortunately, for us, they discovered that pharmaceutical medicine could be produced from petroleum products. A “win win” for them both.

Using their political clout and incredible financial empire they had a national assessment of all current medical schools in the United States, measuring them by standards that favored pharmaceutical medicine and put all other systems of medicine in a bad light. Subsequently, almost all the medical schools in the United States that were not pharmaceutical based were eventually shut down. In their place, medical schools utilizing pharmaceuticals and fortified Carnegie’s and Rockefeller’s huge financial empire, ended up thriving and replacing almost all the other medical systems.

Although a sense of standardization and professionalism was brought to the United States Health System, all other voices and competition were summarily dispatched. The irony of the whole story is that even after putting all competing voices to rest and building a pharmaceutical empire, Rockefeller kept his Homeopathic physician as his primary care doctor.
