VERTIGO

Is your head spinning and you’re not sure why? When you shake your head back and forth dose the earth seems to spin? Do you find yourself becoming nauseous when you are driving in your car? All of these are symptoms of a condition known as Vertigo.

CAUSES

There are many causes for Vertigo. The most common diagnosis that doctors will go to is something known at BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Postural Vertigo). With BPPV calcifications, they get stuck inside the semicircular canals in the ear. Bouncing around they trigger receptors that tell you where you are in space, causing vertigo.

Some of the more common causes of vertigo that I have found have less to do with BPPV. I find that these causes include anemia, blood sugar handling issues, disc bulges in the cervical spine, and adrenal fatigue syndrome.

Lastly, I find that these patients often have a mold infection in the frontal sinus. A good AK doctor will be able to figure this out quickly and give the appropriate herb to fix it within days. Surprisingly, I have consistently found that a correctly used herb works far better than any antibiotic or pharmaceutical.

CURES

If anemia is the issue then there are generally two types I run into. I put these patients on either Ferrefood (for iron) or Cataplex B12 (for B12 deficiency).

If vertigo is accompanied by neck pain, then I suspect a disc bulge. This needs to be fixed by a good AK doctor.

If a patient becomes irritable when they are hungry then I suspect adrenal fatigue or blood sugar handling issues. Again, patients need to see a good AK doctor for these conditions.
