The purpose is not to treat or diagnose any person. Rather it is to share natural interventions that is either supported by the literature or has been found helpful on a case by case basis. According to the Harvard School of Medicine the medicine of the future will be tailored to every person. Medicine must be as unique as each patient is unique. One thing we have found during this time is that the "one size fits all" medical approach is not working.

Currently there is no agreed upon treatment for COVID-19. Hospitals are treating symptoms until patients stabilize. Some medications being used include corticosteroids for controlling inflammation and scarring in the lungs.

Doctors in South Korea have been using hydroxychloroquine for treating COVID-19 which may be attributed to its low death rate compared to Italy.

Since the virus was recognized in China practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have been garnishing success with COVID patients. In one group study it was reported that patients using TCM had a 70% improvement and 30% patient stability rate. For those unaware TCM is a form of medicine that has been around for thousands of years. It relies on herbal remedies made specific for each patient and acupuncture therapy.

Chinese medical institutions have also been experiencing success with Vitamin C IV drips. Doses of 1500mg of vitamin C has been shown to be extremely successful with patients suffering from COVID. When a patient is in respiratory distress or is suffering from some form of infection in the blood vitamin C levels plummet. It makes all the sense in the world then to maintain these vitamin C levels for critical patients. It is noted that each dose given intravenously is 16 times that of the recommended allowance provided by the European Food and Safety Authority (which is 90mg).

The first recommendation often given by doctors is to bulk up the immune system in the case of exposure. This Involves taking the "junk" out of the body and replacing it with "superfoods." The foods that compromise the immune system that need to be left out are primarily sugar, processed foods, gluten containing grains, and dairy products. These foods rob the body of life-giving nutrition and increase inflammation.

The foods that we want to bulk up on to keep our immune system prepared are chiefly lots of organic fruits and vegetables. Red meats should be avoided during this time and replaced instead with Salmon (one of the densest Omega 3 containing foods available). If you have a juicer then juicing lots of carrots (primarily for the vitamin A and C to combat viruses) and beets (for cleansing the blood and liver).

Supplements that are carried by Standard process that could aid in general virus prevention include Immunoplex, Cataplex A/C, and Congaplex. For drainage Antronex would be recommended.

It must be noted that the interventions listed here were all accomplished under the guidance of a licensed Naturopathic, Chiropractic, or Medical doctor.

Some patients who have been reported to be seriously ill and felt they were on "death's door" have experienced dramatic stabilization and recovery using natural methods. Some patients who were seriously ill were first instructed to take mega doses of vitamin A, C and D orally as much as their bodies could handle. One patient reported that after purchasing a nebulizer and inhaling a mixture of Lugol's 5% iodine solution with food grade hydrogen peroxide instant relief was experienced after 2 treatments. Another patient who did not respond well to nebulizer treatment was given an ozone shot. Ozone is a powerful free radical that gives that fresh smell after a rain fall. It is a possible option for cancer treatment and viral infections. Patient stabilized dramatically within the first hour or so.

It must be noted that none of these treatments are FDA approved and were under the guidance of the patient's Medical practitioner. Hydrogen peroxide solutions are prepared with minerals for proper absorption by a doctor.

That being said, I hope that this has proved to be helpful and possibly given some guidance as to alternative methods for thriving in these difficult times.
